Struggling to Find a Harness that Fits Your Tiny Dog? Read This First
If you’ve ever tried to find a harness for your tiny dog, you’ll know the struggle is real. One brand is too bulky, another slips straight off, and the one that nearly works still rides up in all the wrong places. Before long, you are deep in a shopping spiral wondering if you are the only one whose little dog seems impossible to fit.
You absolutely are not.
We hear from so many people who have tried everything to find an extra small dog harness that actually fits. Cat harnesses. Rabbit harnesses. When your pup is toy sized, you get creative. But those workarounds always come with compromises. They are designed for completely different bodies and movement patterns, and it shows the moment your little dog starts to walk.
For years, all of these messages landed in the inbox of our sister brand, Supakit. Supakit specialises in creating beautifully fitted accessories for cats, so they know a lot about building safe, lightweight gear for tiny bodies. At first, the requests from small dog owners felt like occasional outliers. But as more and more messages poured in, a pattern emerged. These teeny tiny chihuahuas, pomeranians and other toy dogs weren’t an edge case. They were a whole community of tiny dogs being squeezed into equipment that was never made for them, especially when what they really needed was a tiny dog harness and lead set designed with their bodies in mind.
That was the turning point. We realised that trying to stretch Supakit to meet the needs of small dogs wasn’t the answer. Dogs – even tiny ones – have their own movement patterns, their own behaviours and their own safety needs. They deserved solutions made specifically for them.
So we created Rowlie.
Rowlie grew out of everything we learned at Supakit about fitting tiny, agile bodies, but we knew small dogs needed something of their own. So we took all that experience and rebuilt it specifically for dogs, shaping each detail around how they move, play and feel. The result is a range made for petite pups. Wipe clean. Soft from the first wear. Strong in all the right places, yet light enough for toy breeds and young puppies.
And the materials matter just as much as the fit. We use natural, luxurious fibres because they do more than look good. They make sense to dogs. Their smell is familiar and reassuring, which helps your pup feel settled the moment the harness goes on. Over time the material softens and moulds, ageing in that lovely way natural materials do, becoming even more comfortable with every outing.
If you have been wrestling with bulky harnesses that slip, rub or tangle in your dog’s fur, you are in the right place. Your pup may be tiny, but impossible to fit? Not anymore.
